Helpful Hints:
If you are seeing a low signal or have no signal
at all please move towards the Lanai or window in your unit, some
laptops may have lower out put to capture a wireless signal
than others. For your convenience you may wish to leave your
room environment and relax by the pool area or beach, you
can take your laptop, or portable device with you any ware
around the property and receive internet services. on low
signals you may want to have your wireless device search for
other OAC Royal Kahana wireless nodes pick the one that
has the strongest signal and connect to that node.
(note : even if you
experience a low signal you will receive internet)
The Valley Isle Resort, and Hololani
Resorts may have wireless signal in some locations, but will
not have full service until later in 2006.
Connecting:
Be sure your laptops wireless is turned on,
and your Network Wireless
properties (Internet Protocol TCP/IP) is set to DHCP ( automatically assigned
IP address ) to connect to our network.
Email: If you use Microsoft Outlook
or Microsoft Outlook Express and wish to send mail with
these programs, please change your outgoing mail
server in your email account from the tool bar
in the program you use, and select accounts. Then from the
general tab highlight the email account you wish to change
and select properties on the right side. Find the servers
tab on the top and select it. Then look for the OUTGOING
mail area, or SMTP outgoing mail settings, and change this to
read "mail.oacnet.com" ( do not put in
the quotes) save the
information and you are ready to send mail on our network.
Refunds:
All refunds require the Mac address of
your wireless device you are using on the system when you
ordered services. A technician will verify your account and
usage before a refund will be authorized.
